I am the founder of Trees4Humanity, Todarus, Habitlonia and AsorbeV. I have been developing environmental preservation projects all over the world for the last 6 years. This has taken me from living with the isolated tribes of the Amazon, participating in the protection of orangutans in Borneo to participating in investigations against illegal trafficking of species and poaching in Africa. This has allowed me to witness first-hand the true state of deterioration in which the main ecosystems of the planet are found.

I come from the startup world so my approach is always to seek new ways through creativity, efficiency and technology to face the great social and environmental challenges that humanity is going to have to face. What I try to do on these sites is combine the entrepreneurial mindset of seeking creative solutions to major environmental and social challenges to find solutions that attack the true root cause of the problem.

Other projects that I am developing

 
  • Habitlonia: Using indoor agriculture and aeroponics to feed the planet. While I was in the Central African Republic I encountered severe malnutrition that was affecting the population but mainly the children. I decided to create this project using the latest technology in vertical agriculture and aeroponics to develop a project that could feed people suffering from malnutrition in places with difficult agricultural conditions. The project has aroused the interest of several governments in their fight against world hunger.
  • AsorbeV: It is a project that is in an experimental phase but that can change things. Experts have already confirmed that if we want to achieve the objectives of the Treaty of Paris, that the average temperature of the planet does not rise more than 2º on average by 2100 (which is already outrageous). It is worth accelerating the transition towards renewable energies if not that we have to bet on methods to absorb the millions of tons of excess C02 that are in the atmosphere. For this, the main measure is to plant trees, since they are the most efficient system that exists to date to capture C02. However, scientists have calculated that if we were to plant 1 trillion trees by 2100, with that we could only achieve the absorption of around 20% of C02 that must be removed from the atmosphere for the Paris objectives to be met. Therefore, we are going to have to develop new technologies capable of absorbing C02. At the moment the problem with these technologies is that they are very expensive. I have been working on a system for some time that makes this process more efficient. Using cutting edge biotechnology, I am developing a system that combines cylinders saturated with algae and plankton as filters combined with rocks that through a mineralization process retain the C02 that we remove from the atmosphere.
